As if you need one more deadline

by

Hey folks, hopefully you’ve heard this message about a thousand times already but it bears repeating.

MONDAY, MARCH 24TH IS THE LAST DAY THAT YOU CAN REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE PENNSYLVANIA PRIMARY ON APRIL 22ND!

If you haven’t mailed your registration form in yet, your best bet is to walk, bike, ride or drive your butt to your county’s board of elections office and hand it directly to one of the workers there.

If you are a college student from out of state, you can register to vote in Pennsylvania by using your college mailing address. If you live in Pennsylvania and don’t want to change your registration to your college address, you can vote by absentee ballot (more on that later).

Lets go step by step:

1. Use this link to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Commissions, Elections and Legislation.

2. You will see a link to a .pdf file of the Pennsylvania Voter Registration Mail Application Form. Download that form and print it out.  You can also pick up the form at a number of different locations including most libraries and

3. Fill it out carefully.  The .pdf has 3 pages.  You only have to worry about the second page.  Make sure to sign it using the signature you will use on Election Day.

4. On the form, you will also see the addresses for each county’s Board of Elections office.  For example, those of you in Philadelphia can bring the form to 520 N. Delaware Ave., 5th Floor.  You need to get it your county’s Board of Elections office by close of business on Monday.  It’s likely that they are closed today for Good Friday and will be closed over the weekend so Monday is your last shot.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments and I’ll try to track down the answer.
