You’re between the ages of 18 and 24. Why aren’t you going to vote?

by

I realize that’s a pretty negative way to frame that question but statistically, if you are one of the 29 million people between the ages of 18 and 24 this year, you most likely won’t be voting.

Well, a new film by a very young filmmaker (he’s 18!) attempts to answer that question.

David Burstein in a Connecticut native who goes to Haverford College, here in the Greater Philadelphia region, and he’s made a film called 18 in ’08. The website is crazy loaded with Flash so it’s impossibly to link to anything directly but you can check it out to see video of the director being interviewed on CNN and some theatrical trailers.

I’m pretty sure he’s going to vote.

There’s also an 18 in ’08 blog with podcasts by Burstein about his experience at the Westport Youth Film Festival.

Check it out and if you feel like it tell me in the comments of this blog post why you’re not going to vote this year. (or prove me wrong!)
